Our guide to marinas on the River Hamble will tell you all you need to know about the options available for accessing the water or storing your vessel.
We’re very fortunate around the River Hamble to have an abundance of options when it comes to accessing the water or storing our vessels. All local marinas offer excellent facilities with easy access to local transport links and amenities. Most sailing clubs on the River Hamble also have a small number of moorings and may offer berthing for members if booked in advance or on a first come, first served basis. If you follow our news, you’ll have seen last month’s article on sailing and water sports in coastal Hampshire. We’d like to follow with this month’s guide to local marinas and their facilities, both boating and recreational!
Many of the marinas listed will also offer seasonal boat storage allowing you to lay up your vessel over the winter months for cleaning or repair. They also offer all the usual services; lift out, scrub, block off, survey, racing scrubs, lift to/from transport, mast step/unstep and storage/towing (example of services offered by Boatfolk, Deacons Marina). Luckily, you’ll also find an extensive choice of eateries to refuel after a tiring day on the water, offering anything from fine dining to Italian and bistro style dining.
Our team are all locally based and have varying interests in being on the water so would be happy to discuss any of the above with you. As we’ve mentioned previously, our Director Paul has been a member of Warsash Sailing Club for many years, in the past enjoying racing and currently cruising. Please pop in or call either of our offices (01489 581452/02380 408200) to speak to one of the team.
